Amazon Jungle and Anavilhanas Islands Day Tour

Explore the wild nature of the Amazon jungle on this tour which also takes you to the wonderful Anavilhanas islands.

Itinerary

After collection from your hotel, we will proceed to the port of Manaus to board a high-speed boat heading to the Amazon jungle.

Following a brief trip, we will arrive at the lush banks of the Black River to begin our walking tour through the Amazon jungle.

This approximately 3-hour hike will reveal the rich botanical and animal diversity of the area, distinguishing between the region's flora and fauna.

An expert guide will demonstrate the traditional uses of Amazon plants and explain how some monkeys and birds benefit from local vegetation.

After concluding the jungle tour, we will return to the boat and head up the Black River to the Anavilhanas islands. This archipelago is known for its biodiverse ‘floating forests’.

A local fish lunch will be served on the riverbank, and if it rains, we will eat inside one of the floating houses on the Amazon.

After the meal, we will begin the return journey to Manaus at around 4:30 pm, where a minibus will be waiting at the wharf to take you back to your hotel.
