Day 1

From your hotel in Manaus, we will head to the port to catch a speedboat across the Black River to Cacau Pirera. The crossing lasts no more than half an hour. Upon arrival, a private car will take you through the Amazon vegetation to the village of Paricatuba, which is a 50-minute journey. At Paricatuba, we take a motorized canoe to reach our base camp for lunch.

In the afternoon, a canoe trip will allow you to try piranha fishing, followed by a night-time walking tour through the jungle to observe nocturnal wildlife. Dinner will be served at the camp.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will begin an approximately two-and-a-half-hour hike through the jungle. Our guide will explain how Amazon plants are utilized by the indigenous population. We return in time for lunch. Afterward, enjoy a relaxing canoe ride along the Amazon tributary system, with dinner at the camp to conclude the day.

Day 3

We will have breakfast before walking to an Indian village in the Amazon to learn about local customs. After lunch at the base camp, you will have the afternoon free to swim in the Black River. Around 4 PM, we will take the speedboat back to the port at Manaus and return you to your hotel.

Accommodation and food

The tour includes two nights’ accommodation at a campsite in the Amazon jungle, with all meals on the itinerary: two breakfasts, two dinners, and three lunches. You can choose between air-conditioned and non air-conditioned accommodation when making your reservation.
