Day 1

From your hotel in Manaus, we will head to the port. From there, we catch a speedboat across the Black River to the small town of Cacau Pirera. The crossing lasts no more than half an hour, during which you will learn about this Amazon region.

Once we arrive at Cacau Pirera, a private car will take you through the dense Amazon vegetation to the village of Paricatuba. This journey lasts 50 minutes and features a variety of plant and animal species. At Paricatuba, we then take a motorized canoe to reach our base camp for lunch.

In the afternoon, we take a canoe trip for some piranha fishing. At dusk, we embark on a night-time walking tour to observe nocturnal wildlife and return to the camp for dinner.

Day 2

After breakfast, we begin an approximately two-and-a-half-hour hike through the jungle, learning how the Amazon plants are utilized by the local indigenous population. We return to camp for lunch.

After eating, we enjoy a canoe ride along the Amazon tributary system. The day concludes back at camp for dinner and rest.

Day 3

We have breakfast before heading on foot to an Indian village in the Amazon to learn about local customs and lifestyle.

After lunch at our base camp, you will have the afternoon free to swim in the Black River. Around 4 pm, we will take the speedboat back to the port at Manaus and return you to your hotel.

Accommodation and food

The tour includes two nights’ accommodation at a campsite in the Amazon jungle, with all meals on the itinerary: two breakfasts, two dinners, and three lunches. Reservation options include air-conditioned and non air-conditioned accommodation.
