Embark on an engaging adventure through the Mangroves of Tumbes National Sanctuary, where we will discover one of the most extraordinary ecosystems globally and visit some of the area's well-known islets.

Tour Details

We begin our journey with a pickup from your hotel in Mancora at the scheduled time, followed by a drive towards Tumbes, situated in the northwestern tip of Peru.

Your travel will take us to Puerto Pizarro, a region celebrated for its remarkable mangrove ecosystems. This habitat, typical of intertropical South America, stretches from the Gulf of Guayaquil to Playa Hermosa, creating navigable waterways across the delta of the Tumbes River.

Our first destination will be the Isla de los Pajaros (Bird Island), renowned for its avian population—can you guess the origin of its name? Here, we will appreciate the majestic red mangrove, a habitat for numerous native bird species.

Next, we will glide past La Isla Hueso de Ballena (Whale Bone Island), where visitors can enjoy a refreshing swim at its inviting beaches, and make a stop at La Isla del Amor (Love Island). This location boasts stunning beaches, offering free time for relaxation and a chance to sample the local cuisine.

Before we return to Mancora, we will take a moment to explore the heart of Tumbes, visiting its central square, followed by a visit to La Playa de Amotape (Amotape Beach), renowned for its striking turquoise waters.

We will conclude our tour back in Mancora, dropping you off at your hotel approximately 8 hours after the pickup.
