Swimming with Sea Turtles at Vichayito Beach

Swim with sea turtles at Vichayito Beach in Los Órganos on this unique excursion from Máncora.

Description

The excursion starts at the pickup point, Hotel Máncora y Pocitas, where we will travel to the Máncora dock by bus. We will then embark on a boat ride along the northern coast of Peru.

We will sail past Los Órganos y Vichayito beach, enjoying scenic views of the coastline and extensive sandy shores of the Pacific Ocean. During the ride, conditions permitting, we may spot sea lions and other wildlife.

After a briefing on safety protocols and fitting life jackets, we will swim with Peruvian sea turtles. Los Órganos y Vichayito beach provides optimal conditions for these marine animals to thrive in a natural ecosystem.

If we remain calm and maintain a distance, we might observe the turtles up close. Some turtles can weigh up to 200 kg (440 lbs).

Following our swim, we will return to the boat and head back to our original departure point to conclude the day.
