Pereira Excursion + Banana Farm Visit
Pickup will be at your hotel in Manizales at 8 am to head south to Pereira, the capital of the department of Risaralda.
En route, we will stop to observe the pineapple fields surrounding Pereira. A tasting of one of the region’s typical dishes, arepa de choclo, a corn tortilla with salsa, will be included.
Upon arrival in Pereira, known for its coffee aroma, we will explore the historic center visiting key sites including Plaza Simón Bolívar, Our Lady of Poverty Cathedral, and the César Gaviria Trujillo Viaduct.
Next, we will visit a banana farm to learn about the cultivation process of this fruit, including how the sweet and creamy pulp is produced.
After the farm tour, we will return to Manizales, dropping you off at your hotel around 3 pm.
