We'll explore the Nevado de Santa Isabel in its entirety on this excursion from Manizales. The perfect way to get some unique photographs of one of the highest mountains in the Cordillera Central of Colombia.

Santa Isabel Volcano Hiking Tour

After picking you up at your hotel in Manizales at 4 am, we'll head to the Nevado de Santa Isabel. On the way you'll be able to enjoy the mountain scenery that this part of Colombia has to offer. Geological formations, waterfalls, and primary forests will be some of the natural elements that you'll be able to admire.

If the weather allows it, we'll be able to admire the Andean condor in flight, an example of the biodiversity of this high area in the town of Villa María. The Nevado de Santa Isabel has a large number of lakes, as well as one of the largest glacier masses in the country.

We'll make a stop to stretch our legs and have breakfast. Then we'll return to the bus and gradually approach the residual glaciers of the Nevado de Santa Isabel. Please note that it's quite a difficult climb to reach the Nevado, as we'll spend approximately three hours climbing and another two hours descending. For this, you'll be accompanied at all times by a specialised guide.

Once we reach the highest part we can access, we'll start the descent admiring a unique landscape in Colombia. At the bottom, we'll enjoy a comforting lunch, before returning by bus to Manizales. Arrival at your hotel is scheduled for 7 pm.
