Nestled on Calle Miguel de Cervantes in the vibrant center of Manzanares, the Lead Soldier Museum represents a significant attraction within Ciudad Real.

This museum occupies a charming 19th-century Manchegan manor and features a chronological presentation of World History through an impressive collection of over 4000 lead soldiers. Each figurine showcases distinctive attire and armor from various historical epochs, making learning both engaging and enjoyable. Additionally, you will discover up to 80 scale models and dioramas.

Your ticket to the museum grants you access to explore four dedicated rooms hosting the exhibitions. The first room focuses on Prehistory and Ancient History, a time highlighted by the emergence of great civilizations like the Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans.

The second room is centered on the Middle Ages. The exhibition continues to elaborate on the Modern Age and the onset of the Contemporary Age, both of which were marked by profound social, military, and technological shifts.

The fourth and concluding room provides insights into the recent developments of the Contemporary Age.

Evening hours (available Wednesday through Saturday)

January, February, March, November, and December: 4 - 7 pmApril, May, June, September, and October: 6 - 9 pmJuly and early August: 7 - 10 pmThe museum remains closed during the latter half of August.

Guided Tour of the Museum

Every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month, guided tours are offered at 11:30 am. These tours are available for 4 EUR per person and must be acquired at the ticket office on the same day as the tour.
