If you want to have fun learning World History, you can experience this with your ticket to the Lead Soldier PlomHist Museum in Manzanares in the province of Ciudad Real.

PlomHist Museum

Located on Calle Miguel de Cervantes, the PlomHist Lead Soldier Museum is a main tourist attraction in the province of Ciudad Real. The museum is situated in a Manchegan manor house from the early 19th century, displaying a chronological exhibition of World History with over 4000 lead soldiers. These figurines, featuring clothing and armor from various eras, aim to teach history interactively, along with 80 scale models and dioramas. Your ticket allows you to visit four rooms: the first dedicated to Prehistory and Ancient History, showcasing civilizations such as Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans; the second room focused on the Middle Ages; the third room covering the Modern Age and the start of the Contemporary Age; and the fourth room detailing the most recent stages of the Contemporary Age.

The PlomHist Museum in Manzanares is open at the following times:

Morning schedule

Wednesday - Sunday: 11 am - 1:30 pm

Evening schedule (only applicable on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday)

January, February, March, November and December: 4 - 7 pmApril, May, June, September and October: 6 - 9 pmJuly and first half of August: 7 - 10 pmThe museum is closed during the second half of August.

Guided Tour of the Museum

On the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month, there are guided tours at 11:30 am. These tours cost 4EUR per person and should be purchased at the ticket office on the same day of the activity.
