Maputo Guided Tour

Description

At a pre-arranged time, we will meet next to the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception and proceed to Praça da Independência, where the Statue of Samora Machel is located. From there, we will walk past the Franco-Mozambican Cultural Center and the Casa de Ferro to learn about the country's history.

Next, we will visit the Tunduru Gardens and the Central Market to experience local culture and discover typical products. Our journey continues to the Maputo Central Railway Station, where we will also see the capital's first Mosque. This station was featured in the film Blood Diamond.

The tour will conclude at the Fortress of Maputo, where we will discuss its historical significance and admire its structure. We will return to the starting point after this insightful, 3-hour tour.
