On this hiking route along the coast of Mar del Plata, we'll explore urban nature reserves in Buenos Aires.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Centro Comercial del Puerto shopping center next to the docks of Mar del Plata. After gathering, we'll begin a hiking route to learn about the coastal urban nature reserves. Accompanied by a Spanish-speaking guide, we'll embark on a low-difficulty route, starting with the Mar del Plata Port Nature Reserve, home to a notable colony of sea lions.
Following our visit, we'll observe the ecosystem leading to the lagoons of Punta Mogotes. While walking through the coastal area, we'll examine the environmental richness and its changes due to human activity over time, as the guide shares stories about the area's landscape evolution. A picnic will be included, consisting of a sandwich, a piece of fruit, and a bottle of mineral water.
We will then return to the starting point by walking along the beaches of Punta Mogotes. Our final stop will be at the Museo del Hombre del Puerto, where we will explore the historical, cultural, and environmental evolution of Mar del Plata's coast and reserves over the decades.
The tour will conclude as we return to the meeting point after 4 hours of activity.
