On this hiking route along the coast of Mar del Plata, we will discover the urban nature reserves located in the province of Buenos Aires.
Description
At the designated time, we will meet at the Centro Comercial del Puerto shopping center next to the docks of Mar del Plata.
Once gathered, we will set off on a hiking route to explore the urban nature reserves along the coast. Accompanied by a Spanish-speaking guide, we will follow a low-difficulty route starting with a visit to the Mar del Plata Port Nature Reserve, home to a significant colony of sea lions.
After learning about this important urban nature reserve, we will observe the ecosystem extending to the lagoons of Punta Mogotes. During our walk, we will examine the environmental richness of the area and its transformation by human activity over time. The guide will share stories about the evolution of these landscapes. A picnic consisting of a sandwich, a piece of fruit, and a bottle of mineral water will be provided.
We will then make our way back along the extensive beaches of Punta Mogotes. Our last stop will be at the Museo del Hombre del Puerto, where we will further explore the historical, cultural, and environmental evolution of the coast and its reserves. The tour will conclude as we return to the meeting point after 4 hours of activity.
