On this tour, we'll paddle surf around Marina del Rey while learning about sea lions and observing these creatures. This experience is a must if you're in LA!

Paddle Surfing with Sea Lions

At the scheduled time, we'll gather at Marina del Rey and walk a few yards to Mother's Beach, where we will start a two-hour paddleboard tour of this area of Los Angeles.

Initially, we will provide a brief introduction on how to handle the boards, and then head into the Pacific waters. While paddling around the harbor, we will see fishing boats and the sea lion colonies resting on the docks.

We will share many interesting facts about these animals, such as their external ears, which allow them to swim at a shallower depth than seals. We may also hear the distinctive sounds they make to communicate.

During the paddle, we will also spot hawks, seagulls, and pelicans. Remain vigilant as this area is also inhabited by friendly dolphins.

Finally, we will return to the beach to conclude the paddle surfing experience.
