5-Day Dakar Track & Merzouga Private Desert Trip

Immerse yourself in the depths of the Sahara Desert as you drive along the Dakar Rally track on a 5-day private trip from Marrakech.

Private Trip Details

Day 1: Marrakesh - Aït Benhaddou - Ouarzazate

Departing Marrakech in the morning, we will traverse the Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass, reaching a height of 2,260 meters. Following this, we will visit Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, a significant fortified city. The day concludes in Ouarzazate, at a local hotel.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Agdz – Draa Valley – Tazarine – El Mharech Oasis

Post-breakfast, we will explore Taourirt Kasbah before heading to Zagora. The journey includes the Anti-Atlas mountains and follows the Draa Valley, with views of various Amazigh villages. We will stay overnight in a riad in the desert.

Day 3: Mharech - Ramlia Oasis - Ouzina Dunes - Merzouga

Following the Dakar Rally tracks, we will visit Khamlia village and then proceed to Erg Chebbi. A camel ride will take participants to an Amazigh camp for the night.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After a sunrise in the dunes, return via camel to the jeep. We will visit Rissani and Erfoud, concluding the day at a camp near the Dades Valley.

Day 5: Dades Valley – Valley of the Roses – Skoura – Marrakech

Travel along the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs through the Valley of the Roses, reaching the palm grove of Skoura before returning to Marrakech.

All accommodations are based on double occupancy; solo travelers may incur a supplement. Availability of triple and family rooms exists. Standard haimas accommodate up to 4 people with private bathrooms, while luxury haimas accommodate 5 with similar facilities. Seasonal variations may apply regarding bathroom access in camps. Air conditioning incurs a €30 fee per person.
