Imlil Village and Kik Plateau Day Trip

Explore the stunning landscapes of the High Atlas on a day trip to Imlil village and the Kik Plateau.

Day Trip Details

We will pick you up at your hotel in Marrakech and travel by 4x4 or minibus through the Imlil Valley.

The excursion begins with a drive through the Haouz plain to the Agafay desert, stopping at the Lalla Takerkoust Lake, which is fed by the Grand Atlas Mountains.

Next, we will visit the settlement of Aguergour for Moroccan mint tea with a local family, learning about their traditions and exploring the Kik Plateau.

Before reaching Imlil, we will pass through Asni, and if the tour is on Saturday, we will visit the local Amazigh market.

In Imlil, you will enjoy a walking tour with an English-speaking guide and a 1-hour mule ride to appreciate the scenery.

On the return journey, we will see Amazigh settlements and stop in Aroumed to view terraces of cherry and walnut trees and admire Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa.

If desired, you can enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal in Tagadirt at an Amazigh family's home (meal not included in the tour price). After lunch, a short walk in the village will conclude the tour.

After 8 hours of sightseeing, we will return to Marrakech.
