Get ready to encounter vibrant bayou wildlife, including ospreys, pelicans, frogs, turtles, owls, and snakes. Our journey begins at a pre-arranged time on Barataria Boulevard, where we board the airboat and set off on a guided adventure through the swamps of the Barataria Preserve.



As we glide through these marshy waters, part of the Jean Lafitte National Park, you will gain insights into this extraordinary ecosystem.



The power of the hovercraft adds an exhilarating element to our tour, enabling us to reach exhilarating speeds of up to 40 miles per hour. We’ll pause at points of interest, allowing you to capture the breathtaking scenery on your camera. The airboat will also take us to hidden gems of the reserve, not reachable by traditional boats. This outing promises to be a memorable experience!



Throughout the trip, the captain will share stories about local traditions and lifestyles, detailing how fishermen thrive in a region home to numerous alligators.



The tour concludes approximately one hour and forty minutes after we set off, leaving you with lasting memories.

Airboat Capacity



We offer two airboat options for this excursion: a standard boat accommodating up to 16 passengers, and a smaller vessel for groups of up to 9 individuals. While you will share the journey with fellow travelers, the smaller group option offers a more intimate and tailored experience.

Children Policy



Children under the age of 17 are welcome to join the adventure, provided they stand taller than 4 feet (122 centimeters). Unfortunately, those below this height cannot board the airboat.

Hotel Pickup Service



If you prefer a hassle-free start, you can opt for a hotel pickup service. We will collect you 90 minutes prior to your scheduled boat ride and return you to your New Orleans accommodation after the tour concludes.

Oak Alley Plantation Visit



Enhance your experience by adding a visit to Oak Alley Plantation along with your airboat ride. This upgrade includes pickup and drop-off at your hotel, an English-speaking guide, and entry to the historic plantation. The itinerary will be adjusted to initiate with a guided mansion tour, followed by the airboat adventure through the reserve.
