Barataria Preserve Boat Trip
We will meet at the pier on Barataria Boulevard, south of New Orleans, at the scheduled time to start our adventure in the wonderful wetlands of Louisiana.
Aboard a boat, we will embark on a gentle journey through the Barataria Reserve, part of the Jean Lafitte National Park. Here, we will witness the flora and fauna of the area, which includes over 200 species of birds, snakes, turtles, and frogs. There is a chance to spot the alligators, known as the kings of the swamp.
During the trip, we will see a traditional fishing village and learn about the rich past of the First Nations at ancient settlements over 2000 years old. This tour blends history and nature perfectly.
The tour lasts for one hour and forty minutes.
