Join the guided tour of the salt pans in Marsala, meeting inside the windmill of Ettore e Infersa to begin. The salt pans, located within the Stagnon Nature Reserve, serve as a financial source for the area and are a habitat for various migratory birds.

The tour starts at the windmill in Infersa, where you'll learn about sea salt production and collection through videos and demonstrations. This windmill, dating back to the 16th century, is the only one still operational in the province of Trapani and one of the few in Italy.

After the windmill visit, we'll walk along the shore of the salt pans to share insights into manual salt collection. This product holds a Protected Geographical Indication due to its centuries-old extraction technique.

The experience is enhanced by the changing colors of the pools throughout the day. At sunset, expect pink and orange hues, while during the day, sunlight highlights the whiteness of the salt mounds, creating a picturesque scene suitable for photography.

After the 1-hour tour, we will conclude and part ways.
