Calanques National Park is one of the great natural jewels of Marseille. Enjoy its landscapes on this hiking route to the different coves in the area.
Tour Details
We'll meet at the indicated time along Avenue de Luminy, and from there, we'll travel by city bus to the coves of Marseille. After a brief introduction, we'll embark on a hiking route towards Calanques National Park, noted for its beautiful coves.
First, we'll stop at the Belvédère de Sugiton viewpoint for scenic views of the Mediterranean. The ocher and gray cliffs blend with the blue sea, creating a picturesque landscape.
Next, we will proceed to the calanque of Saint-Jean de Dieu, also known as De L`Oeil De Verre (meaning 'glass eye') due to the cliff formations.
We'll then take a break on the shores of the Mediterranean for a peaceful picnic that includes bread, cheese, charcuterie, dips, and fruit.
Afterward, we'll return to the meeting point, arriving 5 hours after departure.
Changes in Itinerary
Depending on the season and weather conditions, we may visit the calanques of Saint Jean de Dieu, Sugiton, Morgiou, or Sormiou.
