Noailles Guided Tour
At 2 pm, we'll meet on La Canebière and start our guided tour of the Noailles neighbourhood.
From this central location in Marseille, we'll walk through Noailles' winding streets while learning about the creation of the Marseillaise, one of the world's most famous anthems.
We will explore the history of this neighbourhood and discuss shops established over 200 years ago. The tour will also address topics such as gentrification, the struggle for decent housing, and the tragedy of the Rue d'Aubagne.
One of our stops will be the vibrant Capuchin Market, where exotic ingredients from the East and Africa can be found.
After 2 hours of exploring Noailles, we'll conclude the tour at 4 pm back at the starting point.
