Sormiou Calanque Hiking Activity

We will begin our hiking route from the Chemin de Morgiou car park, heading to the Sormiou creek, a notable feature of the Calanques National Park.

This 3-mile (5-kilometre) hike traverses a scrub forest leading to the Sormiou Ridge, where views of the nearby massif, the Mediterranean Sea, and the city of Marseille can be enjoyed.

The route continues down to the Sormiou cove, where there is a small fishing village and a beach. Participants may opt for a refreshing swim in the turquoise water.

After the swim, we will start our return journey, taking a different path that highlights the nature, history, and culture of the Calanques National Park, a critical protected area in south-eastern France.

We will return to the starting point approximately three and a half hours after departure, concluding the hiking activity.
