We'll meet up in picturesque Piazza XX Settembre square, where we'll begin our walking tour of the historic center of Martina Franca. This route will immerse us in the history of this town in the Puglia region.

We'll pass through the San Stefano Gate, one of the baroque porticoes of the ancient city walls. We'll stroll until we reach Piazza Roma square, where we will admire the Palazzo Ducale, once the residence of the Caracciolo family. The tour will include insights about the power held by these dukes during the glory years of Martina Franca.

We will then reach Piazza del Plebiscito, home to the Basilica of San Martino, built in the 18th century to replace a Romanesque church that was destroyed by an earthquake. The Baroque façade of this temple will be highlighted.

In Piazza del Plebiscito, you will also see the University of Martina Franca and the clock tower. We will continue walking through the narrow streets, admiring baroque and rococo palaces. Bring your camera to capture memories of these monuments!

After two hours of walking, we will conclude the tour next to the beautiful church of San Domenico.
