Mascota Guided Tour
At the time of your choice, we'll meet on Calle Libertad, where we'll begin a guided tour of Mascota, a 'Magical Town' of Jalisco.
We'll walk through the main square to get to know the nerve center of town, including the Mudéjar-style kiosk, the Municipal Palace, and surrounding colonial buildings.
Next, we'll stop in front of the Church of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, where we'll admire its preserved 18th-century Baroque portico and its three-bodied tower crowned by a cross.
We will enter the Archaeological Museum to view a unique collection of pre-Hispanic pieces found at El Pantano. The tribes inhabiting this site are the oldest and least known in the area.
We will visit the unfinished Temple of the Precious Blood, an incomplete church meant to be built in the 1800s, featuring grandiloquent walls, a small chapel with images of the Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, Mary Magdalene, and Christ Crucified, as well as manicured gardens, serving as a stage for orchestras and plays.
After exploring for two hours, the tour will end at the starting point.
Visit to the Archaeological Museum
The visit to the Archaeological Museum of Mascota takes place every day except Mondays, when the museum is closed.
