1873 Observatory Ticket
Originally built by the people of Mazatlán, the famous 1873 Observatory sits on the Cerro del Vigía, 246 feet (75 metres) above sea level.
With your ticket to the 1873 Observatory, you'll explore all its facilities. Your self-guided visit will begin with a short film about Mazatlán. Next you'll hop aboard the Observatory's funicular.
Once you're on the funicular, you can visit a house-museum with 19th-century furniture. You may also visit the distillery, where a mezcal simulator is recreated, and the El Nido bird sanctuary with over 70 species including macaws and flamingos.
Other highlights include the Cueva del Patrón, a former dungeon, and the agaviarium, a desert garden located at the largest natural lighthouse in the world.
