Mr. Lionso Ranch Visit + Mezcal Tasting

On this visit to Mr. Lionso's Ranch, you'll have the opportunity to learn about the artisanal mezcal process and enjoy a tasting with unique flavours.

Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Mazatlán and drive to the Mr. Lionso Ranch, approximately 40 minutes away. This location is surrounded by agave fields, immersing you in the mezcal tradition of the south of Sinaloa.

Upon arrival, we'll visit the ranch's factory to understand the mezcal production process. We'll walk among the ovens, stills, and barrels as we explain the drink's significance in local culture since the 19th century.

During the tour, we'll learn about the vinata and its historical importance, differentiate between the different types of mezcal, and discover facts about agave, the source of this distillate.

We'll also taste the mezcals produced at the ranch, including white, rested, almond, coffee, hibiscus, tamarind, mango, and chocolate.

To enhance the experience, we'll enjoy a molcajete flamed with mezcal, machaca burritos, guacamole, and a refreshing bougainvillea flower water. After lunch, we'll return to Mazatlán and conclude the tour at your hotel after approximately 2.5 hours.
