Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Mazatlán Marina. Here, we'll embark on a speedboat ride in search of the humpback whales inhabiting the Gulf of California. An expert in marine biodiversity will accompany us to aid in identifying the marine life observed. You will want your cameras ready to capture the unique sight of a humpback whale leaping above the ocean.

During the tour, we may spot other native creatures including dolphins, turtles, sea lions, and manta rays. We will also engage in real monitoring projects, learning to identify different marine life and recording whale behavior patterns with the team. This activity supports local whale rescue, beach clean-up, and environmental education.

After the tour, we will return to the harbor and then back to your hotel, concluding the activity approximately 3 hours after departure.

Whale sightings around Mazatlán are common, but they depend on unpredictable factors such as weather and ocean conditions, so sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Whale Museum

We will provide you with tickets to visit the MUNBA, the Whale Museum, where you can learn about whales, their history in the Mexican Pacific, and their role in the marine ecosystem. These tickets can be used at any time during your stay in Mazatlán and will be given to you at the end of the whale watching tour.
