Beginner's Rafting Down Samaná River

Looking for a day full of adventure in Antioquia? Learn how to raft as you go down Samaná River and enjoy a perfect view of the Colombian jungle!

Description

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Medellin, and from there, we'll journey south to San Luis, located in the Antioquia region.

Upon reaching the city's central park, we'll transition to our off–roading vehicle to reach the forest. We'll take a hike lasting approximately 40 minutes to an hour along a canyon.

The hike culminates at a riverside location, where we'll begin rafting on the Samaná River. Outfitted with safety helmets and vests, we'll navigate the waters aboard an inflatable raft.

Over approximately 3 to 4 hours, we will cover a distance of 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles) amidst waves, whirlpools, and rapids.

Our rafting adventure will conclude at a calm area for a picnic lunch featuring sausages and fresh fruits.

We'll return to San Luis by off–roading vehicle after lunch, switch transportation, and return to Medellin, dropping you off at your hotel about 9 hours after pickup.
