Beginner's Rafting Down Samaná River

Looking for a day full of adventure in Antioquia? Learn how to raft as you go down Samaná River and enjoy a perfect view of the Colombian jungle!

Description

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Medellin and journey south to San Luis, located in the Antioquia region. After arriving at the city's central park, we will switch to our off–roading vehicle to reach the forest. A picturesque hike along a stunning canyon will last approximately 40 minutes to an hour.

The hike will end at a riverside location where we will start rafting on the Samaná River. Equipped with safety helmets and vests, we will navigate the waters in an inflatable raft for approximately 3 to 4 hours over a distance of 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles). Expect to encounter big waves, swirling whirlpools, and thrilling rapids.

Our rafting will conclude at a tranquil spot for a picnic lunch featuring sausages and fresh, locally sourced fruits. After lunch, we will return to San Luis via off–roading vehicle and then return to Medellin, arriving at your hotel approximately 9 hours after pickup.
