Beginner's Rafting Down Samaná River

Looking for a day full of adventure in Antioquia? Learn how to raft as you go down Samaná River and enjoy a perfect view of the Colombian jungle!

Description

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Medellin, and from there, we'll journey south to San Luis, located in the Antioquia region.

Upon reaching the city's central park, we'll transition to our off–roading vehicle to reach the forest. Once there, we'll take a picturesque hike along a stunning canyon, lasting approximately 40 minutes to an hour.

Our hike will culminate at a riverside location, where we'll dive into the thrill of rafting on the Samaná River. Equipped with safety helmets and vests, we'll navigate the exhilarating waters aboard an inflatable raft.

As we traverse these waters for approximately 3 to 4 hours, we'll cover a distance of 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles). Expect to confront big waves, swirling whirlpools, and thrilling rapids.

Our rafting excursion will conclude with a picnic lunch featuring sausages and fresh, locally sourced fruits.

We'll return to San Luis by off-road vehicle after lunch. From there, we'll switch transportation back to Medellin, concluding our day and dropping you off at your hotel about 9 hours after pickup.
