On this free night tour of Medellín, we'll discover the most bohemian side of this Colombian city, as well as its cultural and artistic history.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the entrance to the Pablo Tobón Uribe Theatre. Once gathered, we'll begin this free night tour of bohemian Medellín. We will start by admiring the façade of the Pablo Tobón Uribe Theatre and discussing the history of theatre, music, and culture in Medellín. Following this, we will walk towards the Palace of Fine Arts, center for artistic studies in Colombia, known for its unique atmosphere.
Our next stop will be Periodista Park, where we will explore numerous iconic bohemian venues in the city, including salsa, tango, rock, and jazz bars.
The tour will continue to one of the most iconic architectural features of Medellín, the Bomboná Towers, a former women's jail that became a significant residence in the San Ignacio neighbourhood.
We will conclude by visiting two cultural houses of Medellín to learn about local forms of entertainment.
After 3 hours, the tour will end back at the starting point.
