On this day excursion to El Tajín and Papantla, you will have the opportunity to explore the remarkable remnants of the ancient Totonac culture and witness an extraordinary aerial performance!

Day Trip to El Tajín & Papantla

We will collect you from your accommodation in Boca del Río and travel north towards El Tajín.

This archaeological site stands as one of the most well-preserved representations of the Totonac civilization. You will be able to admire the impressive Pyramid of Los Nichos and gain insights into one of Mexico's most significant ancient cultures.

After exploring the ruins, we will proceed to a local area filled with restaurants, where you will have around an hour and a half to enjoy lunch (not included).

Post-lunch, we will visit the El Tajín Museum, where your guide will share more about the captivating Totonac culture, encompassing their traditions and way of life.

Following this, we will make our way to the city of Papantla. This part of the tour will feature a guided exploration, allowing you to uncover its most iconic locations, including the cathedral and a mural depicting Totonac history.

At the conclusion of the tour, we will return you to your hotel in Boca del Río, arriving around 8:30 pm.
