Tuxtlas and Catemaco Adventure
Your day begins with a pickup from your hotel in Boca del Río at 8 am, followed by a scenic drive towards Santiago Tuxtla.
This charming town is noted for housing the largest Olmec head in southern Mexico. We will meander through the picturesque Benito Juárez Central Park until we reach the impressive stone statue, where our guide will share its captivating backstory.
Next, we will board the vehicle and proceed to a breathtaking natural wonder, the Eyipantla Waterfall. A gentle hike through dense jungle will lead us to the base of this remarkable 160-foot waterfall.
After experiencing the beauty of the falls, we will travel to the town of Catemaco for an enchanting boat ride on the Laguna Encantada (Enchanted Lake). Here, we will glide through the area's mangroves, discovering small islands teeming with wildlife, with opportunities to spot spider monkeys, macaques, and various native birds.
Upon concluding the boat ride, we'll return to shore, where you'll have approximately 1.5 hours of leisure time to enjoy a meal at one of the delightful local eateries (meal cost not included).
Feeling refreshed, we will head back to Boca del Río, arriving at your hotel by 8:30 pm.
