Tour of Guatapé + Boat Ride

Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll meet in Medellín and travel through the green landscapes to Marinilla, where we'll stop for breakfast.

Our first destination is La Piedra del Peñol rock, which is 721 feet (220 meters) tall. You'll have 1.5 hours of free time at the summit to enjoy the landscape.

Next, we'll head to the town of Guatapé for another 1.5 hours to explore the promenade and visit the famous Plaza de los Zócalos, known for its colorful houses and murals. We'll also visit a replica of Old Peñol, a park that recreates the village before it was flooded in the 70s, and share its history. A traditional lunch will follow.

After lunch, we'll embark on a boat for a cruise around the Guatapé dam, viewing the ruins of the Hacienda la Manuela, previously owned by Pablo Escobar. We'll learn about this house before returning to the starting point, concluding the tour 10 to 11 hours after departure.
