Discover Guatapé on this tour from Medellin to one of the region's most emblematic places. Enjoy a boat ride & see La Piedra del Peñol rock.

Tour Details

We'll meet at the designated point in Medellin at the scheduled time and then travel through scenic landscapes to Marinilla, where we'll stop for breakfast.

Our first destination is La Piedra del Peñol rock, which is 721 feet (220 meters) tall. You'll have 1.5 hours free time at the summit to enjoy the views.

We will then proceed to Guatapé, allowing another 1.5 hours for a stroll along the promenade and to see the vibrant Plaza de los Zócalos, known for its colorful houses and murals.

Additionally, we will visit a replica of the Old Peñol, a park that showcases the village's history prior to the flooding caused by the dam in the 70s. Afterward, a traditional lunch will be provided.

After lunch, we will board a boat for a cruise around the Guatapé dam, viewing the ruins of Hacienda la Manuela, formerly owned by Pablo Escobar. We will discuss the history of this site before returning to the starting point, concluding the tour 9-12 hours after departure.
