The free walking tour of Melbourne offers an opportunity to explore Australia's cultural capital and its notable sights.
Tour Details
Participants will meet at Flinders Station, Australia's oldest train station, to begin the tour. The walking tour will cover Melbourne's historic center, also referred to as the CBD (central business and leisure district).
The first stop will be St. Paul Cathedral, followed by a visit to Federation Square Plaza, a key tourist destination that hosts over 2000 cultural events annually.
Next, we will cross the Yarra River Bridge for a panoramic view of the city. On the opposite side, we will visit the Immigration Museum, a tribute to Australia's immigration history.
The tour continues with a stroll through ACDC Lane, named after the famous rock band, which features the band's name on the walls. The tour will last approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, discussing daily life and economy in the city as well as Aboriginal culture, concluding at Collins Street, known for its secret passageways filled with street art.
