Description
Welcome to the East End of Melbourne. At the specified time, we'll meet at Federation Square to begin our journey. We'll explore the iconic aspects of the city, including Federation Square, the Yarra River, and St. Paul's Cathedral, the only neogothic building in Melbourne.
Next, we will cross AC/DC Lane, a street paying tribute to the legendary rock group associated with Melbourne. Following this, we will traverse Degraves Street, known for its vibrant local bars.
Our next stop will be the town hall, notable for its architecture. Then we will visit the Block Arcade and Royal Arcade, prime examples of Victorian era shopping in Melbourne.
Continuing down Bourke Street, we will arrive at Chinatown, significant for its role in Chinese culture in Australia. Nearby is the State Library Victoria, the oldest public library in the country and one of the first free libraries in the world.
Finally, we'll visit the City Baths and Queen Victoria Market, two landmarks in the East End.
After 2 hours of exploration, we will return to the initial meeting point to conclude the tour.
