Andes High Mountain Tour
Between 7 and 7:30 am, hotel pickups will commence, heading west to the Andes. The 120-kilometer (75-mile) trip lasts about 3 hours, traveling alongside the Mendoza River, with a view of the Potrerillos Dam.
First, we'll stop at Uspallata, at an altitude over 2000 meters? (6,500 feet), to learn about its history before proceeding to Punta de Vacas, where you can see Tupungato Volcano. After a short drive, we’ll reach the Los Penitentes ski station.
Next, we’ll visit Puente del Inca, a natural rock bridge, and a viewpoint with views of Aconcagua.
From November to April, Aconcagua Provincial Park is open, allowing for an optional hike to the Laguna de los Horcones (not included).
We will then stop in Las Cuevas and ascend to Christ the Redeemer of the Andes (accessible January to March), with an hour of free time for lunch to sample local cuisine.
Post-lunch, we’ll drive back to Mendoza, stopping again in Uspallata for a rest before completing the journey in around 5 hours total, returning to your hotel between 7 and 8 pm.
