Cordon del Plata Provincial Park Trek
After picking you up at your hotel in Mendoza between 7:30 am and 8 am, we will drive along National Route 7 to the Andean towns of Cacheuta and Potrerillos, stopping briefly in Potrerillos to admire its reservoir nestled between mountains.
We will enjoy traditional empanadas from Mendoza and a drink before continuing to Vallecitos ski resort in Cordón del Plata Provincial Park. Here, we will commence a 6.5-hour trek of moderate difficulty, reaching an altitude of 12,600 feet.
The hike will take us through the Quebrada de Arenales gorge to the summits of Pico Andresito and Cerro Arenales, where we may observe local wildlife. We will then head to the top of Cerro Lomas Blancas, enjoying a scenic view of the Cordón del Plata range, followed by a picnic lunch with sandwiches or empanadas, fruit, alfajores, and sweets.
After lunch, we will descend through the Morenas Coloradas valley. The trek concludes at Vallecitos ski resort at 4 pm, after which we will return to your hotel in Mendoza, arriving between 5:30 pm and 6 pm.
