El Salto Waterfall Hike
We will pick you up from your hotel in Mendoza between 7:10 am and 7:30 am and set off for El Salto. On the way, we will pass through the Andean villages of Cacheuta and Potrerillos. A snack, including traditional pancakes from Mendoza and a choice of mate, coffee, or tea, will be provided on the vehicle.
Upon arrival in El Salto, we will begin a six-hour hike to the waterfall. The moderately difficult route reaches an altitude of 9000 ft above sea level, featuring various high mountain Andean landscapes. The path leads to a panoramic viewpoint of the El Salto waterfall, where we will observe condors in midflight.
A picnic lunch will be offered, including sandwiches or empanadas, fresh fruit, nuts, alfajores, a cereal bar, candy, and an infusion. After the break, we will start the return trek to the original starting point. We aim to return to your hotel in Mendoza by 6 pm.
