Be amazed by the beautiful Andean landscapes of the province of Mendoza with this fantastic trek to El Salto waterfall. This is an unmissable adventure for your holiday in Argentina.

El Salto Waterfall Hike

Pick up from your hotel in Mendoza is scheduled between 7:10 am and 7:30 am, followed by a trip to El Salto. On the way, we will pass through the Andean villages of Cacheuta and Potrerillos, known for their reservoir and the surrounding Cordón de Plata mountains.

During the transfer, a snack will be provided including traditional pancakes and a choice of infusion such as mate, coffee, or tea.

Upon arrival in El Salto, a six-hour hike will commence, leading to a stunning waterfall. The moderately difficult route ascends to 9000 ft above sea level through diverse high mountain landscapes.

The path will zigzag among the rocks towards a panoramic viewpoint of the El Salto waterfall. In winter, an icy pyramid typically forms at the base of the waterfall.

A break will be taken to enjoy the surroundings and observe condors in flight, coupled with a picnic lunch featuring sandwiches or empanadas, fresh fruit, nuts, alfajores, a cereal bar, candy, and an infusion.

After the break, the return journey will begin, leading back to the original starting point. Arrival back at your hotel in Mendoza is expected by 6 pm.
