Enjoy the fauna of Costa Rica in this bird and sloth-watching activity in San José. We'll walk through urban forests to check out the animals that live there and learn interesting facts about the species we see.

San José Sloth & Birdwatching

At your chosen time, we'll meet on Calle La Cruz to start a tour that will allow us to enjoy the flora and fauna of Costa Rica. During the activity, we'll visit two urban parks to see the birds and sloths that inhabit these areas.

We'll spend one hour exploring the first forest, where we will observe the dozens of birds that inhabit this place. A spotting scope will be available to get a closer look at more hidden animals.

We will discuss various curiosities about the different birds and also talk about the insects and tropical flowers found in San José.

We will proceed to the second park at the University of Costa Rica. As we walk through the campus, we'll spot several sloths and share information about their slow metabolism and other facts.

After two and a half hours of exploration, we will conclude the tour at the starting point.
