Celestún Day Trip

Travel to the Ría Celestún Biosphere Reserve and discover one of the most biodiverse regions of the Yucatán. You'll enjoy a boat ride alongside flamingos and herons!

Tour Details

At the scheduled time, we’ll meet at the designated location in Mérida and head to the Ría Celestún Biosphere Reserve. Upon arrival, we’ll embark on a 90-minute boat tour through the mangroves. Highlights include Bird Island to see pink flamingos, herons, and pelicans, along with a chance to see a crocodile on the shore.

The tour continues through the mangrove forest, where we will look for various wildlife species including ducks, armadillos, ocelots, and white-tailed deer. There will be a stop at a cenote where, conditions permitting, you can swim.

Next, we’ll visit Celestún Beach and enjoy three hours at the Beach Club with time for a lunch of fish or chicken fillet by the sea.

Finally, we’ll return to Mérida, concluding our tour after nine hours of exploration.
