Chichén Itzá Day Trip

  • 9 - 10 Stunden

Visit "El Castillo", the Temple of the Warriors and "El Caracol" as you explore one of the most important Maya cities with this excursion to Chichén Itzá.

Chichén Itzá Day Trip

Starting early, we will head to the ancient Maya city of Chichén Itzá.

Upon arrival, the first stop will be the pyramid dedicated to the God Kukulkán, known as “El Castillo”. With your guide, we will uncover the secrets of this temple central to the religious life of Chichén Itzá.

The tour continues to the Temple of the Warriors, a pyramid surrounded by columns featuring war scenes carved into the rock. We will also explore other significant structures, including El Osario, a pyramid with an internal cave, and El Caracol observatory, reflecting the advanced astronomical knowledge of the Mayans.

You will have one hour of free time to explore the site and take pictures. Following this, we will go to a local restaurant for a buffet lunch that includes typical local specialties such as roast chicken or pork, rice, beans, and handmade tortillas.

In the afternoon, we will visit a nearby cenote, a natural pool formed by the collapse of a cave roof. You will have 30 minutes to swim, so bring a swimsuit and a towel.

The tour concludes back at the meeting point in Merida, lasting between 9 to 10 hours.
