Description
At the indicated time we'll pick you up at your hotel in Mérida and start this excursion to Izamal and Motul.
First, we'll head to the town of Motul. Upon arrival, we'll stop at the local market to taste the traditional eggs from Motul.
With our appetite satiated, we'll approach the Sambulá Cenote, where you can take a dip in its crystalline waters. From there, we'll visit the Museum of Felipe Carrillo Puerto to see objects associated with this important Yucatan figure.
Then, we will reach the magical town of Izamal, known for its yellow buildings. We will explore the City of the Three Cultures and visit the monastery of San Antonio de Padua, constructed from a Mayan pyramid.
Lastly, we'll visit the Kinich Kakmó Pyramid, one of the largest structures in Mesoamerica, and review its history. After 8 hours of sightseeing, we'll drive back to Mérida and finish the tour at your hotel.
