Hampolol + Campeche Excursion

Join us on this trip from Mérida to explore the rich history of Campeche and the natural beauty of Hampolol and its cenotes, two destinations on the Yucatán peninsula.

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Mérida and begin the trip to Campeche and Hampolol. A day of nature and history awaits.

Our first stop will be at Hampolol, at the Ich Xa Lol Xaan Ecoturistic Centre, which features two cenotes. Here, you can appreciate the beauty of the waters emerging from the limestone rocks. We will also explore the Verde River, flowing toward the Gulf of Mexico, which forms two saltwater marshes.

The tour continues in the city of Campeche, where we will learn about the age of privateers in Mexico. We will visit the San José el Alto and San Miguel Fort and Museum to recount significant historical events affecting the region and its defense against pirate attacks. From here, we will view the fortifications and enjoy panoramic views of Campeche.

Finally, we will head to the historic center of Campeche. You will have free time to try local food, admire the colonial architecture, and stroll along the cobblestone streets. Enjoy a sunset on the boardwalk with views of the Gulf of Mexico.

After 10 hours, the tour will conclude back in Mérida.
