On this excursion to the cenotes of Homún and Eknakán, we'll admire the neo-Gothic Church of San José and then head to these natural pools for a refreshing dip.

Homún & Eknakán Cenotes Excursion

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Mérida and drive to the community of Eknakán. There will be a stop for breakfast on your own if desired.

Upon arrival in Eknakán, we'll visit the Church of San José, a neo-Gothic building from the early 20th century. Then, we will stroll through town to observe food stalls and modernized buildings.

Next, we will head to Homún, known for its cenotes. We will explore various types: closed, semi-open, and open-air cenotes.

We will learn about these natural pools, their function, and their significance to the Maya civilization. After the historical insights, you will have free time to swim in the cenotes and enjoy the crystalline waters.

Following the cenotes tour, we will go to a restaurant for lunch on your own. We will then return to Mérida, arriving approximately 10 hours after pickup.
