Mayapan + Cenotes Tour

On this trip to the ruins of Mayapan, we will visit an archaeological site built like Chichén Itzá and take a dip in the sacred cenote.

Description

At the scheduled time, we will collect you from your hotel in Mérida to begin this journey through the time of the ancient Mayans. After a 40-minute journey, we will arrive at the archaeological site of Mayapan, known as the last jewel of the Mayan Civilization. This city was built in a style similar to Chichén Itzá, showcasing the Kukulcán Pyramid and the intriguing aspects of ancient Mayan culture.

Following our exploration of Mayapan, we will head to the sacred cenote, where you can choose to visit either the Santa Bárbara cenote, an underground lagoon, or the Santa Rosa cenote, which is above ground. Regardless of your choice, you will have an hour of free time to swim in the turquoise waters, relax in nearby hammocks, and enjoy a typical Yucatan lunch.

We will conclude the day back at the hotels in Mérida, marking the end of a 9-hour experience.
