We'll meet in front of the Montejo Museum-House to begin our free walking tour of Mérida. The first stop is the Montejo House, a 16th-century construction declared a Historical Monument due to its significance in Mérida's legacy.
Next, we will head to the Mérida Cathedral, the first cathedral erected in America, which showcases Spanish influence alongside traces of the Maya in its Renaissance facade.
We will visit the Palacio de Gobierno, known for its murals depicting the history of the Mayan village, vital for understanding Yucatán's identity.
Our tour continues at the Gran Hotel de Mérida, an architectural gem of Porfirian-style, preserving early 20th-century elegance.
