Mexican Food Tour of Mérida

At the designated time, we'll meet at the Letras de Mérida to start this tasty tour!

First, we'll make a stop at Gorditas Doña Gorda, where we will enjoy an authentic Mexican gordita. Closed tortillas will be filled with pork rinds, beans, or other ingredients. Next, we will visit Eulogio Rosado Park to taste an authentic poc chuc, a dish made with sour orange marinated pork.

The route continues to the San Benito market for local fruits such as huaya, nance, or guanábana, along with traditional tamales covered with a vegetable leaf. Next, we head to Lucas de Galvez market to try carnitas seasoned with herbs and spices. No food tour is complete without tasting tacos al pastor, the best-known tacos in the country.

We will conclude the tour with some fruity ice creams before returning to the meeting point at 6 pm.
