Mexican Food Tour of Mérida

At the designated time, we'll meet at the Letras de Mérida to start this tasty tour!

First, we'll make a stop at Gorditas Doña Gorda, where we will enjoy an authentic Mexican gordita. These are closed tortillas filled with pork rinds, beans, or other appealing ingredients. Next, we will proceed to Eulogio Rosado Park to taste an authentic poc chuc, made with sour orange marinated pork.

The route continues to San Benito market for refreshing local fruits such as huaya, nance, or guanábana. We will also sample traditional tamales wrapped in a vegetable leaf.

Then we will visit Lucas de Galvez market to try seasoned pork "carnitas". No food tour would be complete without tasting some tacos al pastor, known as the best tacos in the country.

We will conclude the tour with fruity ice creams before returning to the meeting point at 6 pm.
