Mexican Food Tour of Mérida

At the designated time, we'll meet at the Letras de Mérida to start this tour.

First, we will stop at Gorditas Doña Gorda to taste an authentic Mexican gordita, which are closed tortillas filled with pork rinds, beans, or other ingredients. Next, we'll visit Eulogio Rosado Park to enjoy poc chuc, a dish made with sour orange marinated pork.

The tour continues to the San Benito market for refreshing local fruits like huaya, nance, and guanábana, as well as traditional tamales covered with a vegetable leaf.

After that, we'll go to Lucas de Galvez market to try pork "carnitas" seasoned with herbs and spices. No food tour is complete without tasting tacos al pastor, a well-known type of taco.

We will conclude the route with some fruity ice creams and return to the meeting point by 6 pm.
