Sisal & Celestún Tour

At the indicated time, pickup will be at your hotel in Merida for the excursion to Sisal, a designated Magical Town.

Upon arrival, the first stop will be the fort of Santiago, where the lighthouse and the old maritime customs house are located. These sites historically facilitated exports to the United States and Europe.

Next, we will visit the Sisal dock, allowing free time to explore the town and enjoy a drink at local restaurants.

After Sisal, we proceed to Celestún. During transit, we will share historical and cultural insights about both Sisal and Celestún. Upon arrival, we will stop at the ecotouristic parador of Celestún, where you’ll have free time for a boat ride along the estuary to observe the local flamingos. Optional visits to the Isla de los Pájaros and the Ojo de Agua lagoon are also recommended.

If you prefer not to take the boat trip, you may enjoy the beach of Celestún and its restaurants, which offer a range of seafood and Yucatecan cuisine.

We will reconvene for the return trip to Merida, with hotel drop-off around 7 pm.
