Sisal & Celestún Tour

We will pick you up at your hotel in Merida to start the excursion to Sisal, a Magical Town. Upon arrival, we will visit the fort of Santiago to see its lighthouse and the old maritime customs house that facilitated exports. Afterward, there will be free time at the Sisal dock to explore the town and enjoy a drink at a restaurant.

Next, we will travel to Celestún, where we will discuss the history and culture of the area. Upon arrival, we will go to the ecotouristic parador of Celestún, granting you free time for a boat ride along the estuary to observe the flamingos. It is also recommended to visit the Isla de los Pájaros and the Ojo de Agua lagoon.

If you opt out of the boat trip, you may relax on the beach of Celestún and enjoy the restaurants offering a variety of food, particularly seafood and Yucatecan cuisine. We will reconvene to return to Merida, with hotel drop-off around 7 pm.
