On this tour from Merida, we'll visit the archeological complex of Uxmal to discover the pre-colonization culture in this region and learn the history of cocoa at the Choco-Story Museum.

Uxmal & Choco-Story Museum Tour

At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Merida and drive south to Uxmal, one of the main Mayan archaeological sites in the Yucatan Peninsula.

Upon arrival at this archaeological complex, declared a World Heritage Site, we'll begin our guided tour of the entire monumental complex, including the Pyramid of the Soothsayer, explaining its significance.

The tour will include other key sites such as the Quadrangle of the Nuns and the Governor's Palace, along with the ancient ball game field, where we'll learn about this pre-Columbian sport.

Next, we'll visit the Choco-Story Museum, featuring an interactive exhibition on the history of cocoa. The museum consists of six rooms designed like traditional Mayan houses, where we will discover various chocolate-related facts.

After the museum tour, we'll enjoy lunch at a restaurant in the Uxmal area, featuring a traditional Yucatecan dish with multiple options available.

Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Merida, arriving at 5 pm.
