Sierras de Comechingones Trip

At 7:30 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Villa de Merlo and drive to the Mogote Bayo Provincial Natural Reserve. We will stop at the sun viewpoint for panoramic views of the area.

We will then head to the Sierras de Comechingones, a mountain range between San Luis and Córdoba. As we traverse the peaks, also called Sierras Pampeanas, we will observe the diverse fauna and flora.

Continuing along the road, we will ascend to 7500 feet above sea level for views of the Conlara Valley. We will share insights about the Argentinean ethnic groups of the Hinia and Kamîare, known as "comechingones," who lived here until the Spanish arrived in the 16th century.

We will explore more of the nature of the Sierras de Comechingones with a short trek along a main trail to learn about the area's geology, marked by enormous valleys and watercourses.

Finally, we will return to your hotel in Villa de Merlo, arriving at 11:30 am.
