Etna and Taormina Tour

Enjoy a day filled with nature and history, on this excursion to Etna, where you'll visit the tallest active volcano in Europe, and Taormina, famous for its Roman remains.

Etna and Taormina Tour

We'll leave Messina behind on an air-conditioned bus, on the way to Etna, one hour and a half away, known for its height of 3,000 metres.

We'll go to the Sapienza refuge to discuss the most recent eruptions of the Etna Volcano. There, we will explore craters formed by the notable 1892 eruption. You can choose to climb to 2500 metres using the cable car from the refuge (not included in the tour, price €30).

Next, we will travel to Taormina, located seventy kilometres from Etna. In this historic city, we will walk down Umberto street, guided through the history of Taormina, its churches, and monuments. Recommendations for local restaurants and ice cream shops will be provided.

Finally, we will return by bus to Messina, arriving back at the original meeting point.

Cruises

This excursion is available for cruise passengers. During reservation, you must indicate your boat's name. We will wait for you in the disembarkation area half an hour after the cruise ship's scheduled docking time.

Minimum Participants

Between the 17th of November and the 31st of March, the tour will only operate with a minimum of 8 participants. If this requirement is not met, alternative options will be provided.
