Enjoy a day immersed in the Wine region around Etna, the volcanic area of Sicily. You'll admire the tallest volcano in Europe, explore Taormina, and try wine at a local winery.

Taormina Day Trip + Winery Tour

The tour departs from Messina port, heading to Taormina, located about an hour's drive on the east coast of Sicily.

Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, we'll embark on a guided tour of Taormina, learning about its history while visiting ancient churches and monuments. The tour includes a stroll down Corso Umberto and through Piazza IX Aprile.

After Taormina, we'll proceed to Etna, reaching the slopes of Europe's largest active volcano at 3,300 meters. Here, we'll discover the suitability of the climate and soil for wine cultivation. We will visit a local winery to tour its facilities and learn about wine production, followed by a tasting of red, white, and rosé wines, served with local delicacies such as salami, olives, local cheeses, and Sicilian-style pasta.

At the end of the day, we'll return to Messina.

Cruises

This excursion is available for cruise passengers. When reserving, indicate the name of your boat. We will meet you in the disembarkation area half an hour after your cruise ship docks.

Minimum Participants

From the 17th of November to the 31st of March, the tour requires a minimum of 8 participants to proceed. If this number is not met, alternatives will be offered.
