Enjoy a day immersed in the Wine region around Etna, the volcanic area of Sicily. You'll admire the tallest volcano in Europe, explore the town of Taormina, and try wine at a local winery.

Taormina Day Trip + Winery Tour

The tour departs from Messina port, heading to Taormina, a historic town about an hour's drive on the east coast of Sicily.

Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, we will enjoy a guided tour of Taormina, highlighting its history while admiring ancient churches and monuments. A stroll down Corso Umberto and through Piazza IX Aprile will showcase the town's charm.

After exploring Taormina, we will proceed to Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe at 3,300 metres tall. The climate and soil are ideal for viticulture, making the region known for its wine. We will visit a local winery to learn about wine production and enjoy a tasting of red, white, and rosé wines, accompanied by local delicacies such as salami, olives, local cheeses, and Sicilian style pasta.

At the end of the day, we will return to Messina.
