Meteora Sunset Hike

On our Meteora Sunset Hike, you'll learn about the history and legends of its monasteries, explore lesser-known caves and chapels, and enjoy a scenic sunset.

Meteora Sunset Hike

We will pick you up from your hotel at the scheduled time and drive our minibus to Meteora, which features a group of Eastern Orthodox monasteries inhabited since the 14th century. Due to its historical significance and location on high rocks, Meteora is a World Heritage Site.

Upon arrival, we will commence our hike through Meteora's secret caves, visiting sites like the monks' prison and the Chapel of the Holy Spirit, as well as various hermits' caves hidden among the rocks.

During the hike, we will discuss the history and legends of Meteora while taking in stunning views of the monastic complex.

As we conclude our hike, we will pause at a viewpoint to take in the sunset. Please remember to bring your camera.

After approximately 4 hours of hiking, history, and views, we will drop you off at your hotel.
