Meteora Sunset Hike

On our Meteora Sunset Hike, you'll learn about the history and legends of its monasteries, discover lesser-known caves and chapels, and enjoy a sunset.

Meteora Sunset Hike

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and drive to Meteora, home to a group of Eastern Orthodox monasteries inhabited since the 14th century and designated a World Heritage Site.

Upon arrival, we'll begin a hike through Meteora's secret caves, visiting less touristy spots like the monks' prison and the Chapel of the Holy Spirit, as well as various hermits' caves among the towering rocks.

As we progress, we'll discuss the history and legends of Meteora while taking in views of the monastic complex.

During the hike's final stretch, we'll stop at a viewpoint to witness a sunset in Meteora. Remember to bring your camera.

After 4 hours of hiking, you will be dropped off at your hotel.
