La Jalda Waterfall Day Trip

The Carribean wilderness will dazzle you on this excursion to La Jalda waterfall, widely considered one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the Dominican Republic.

Pickup is at 8 am at the Atabey Hotel in Miches. We will travel towards the community of La Loma.

Upon arrival, we will begin a breathtaking hike through the Dominican jungle. During this trek, participants will see various tropical plants, including orchids, as well as several cacao and coffee plantations.

After a two-hour hike, we will reach Salto de La Jalda, a waterfall over 120 meters (400 feet) high. Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool at its base, with water sourced from the Cordillera Septentrional.

A break for lunch will be taken by the waterfall; participants should bring their own picnic. After lunch, we will return to La Loma to enjoy a traditional homemade fruit wine, with options for water or a soft drink, accompanied by chocolate and sweet and salty cookies.

We will then return to the Hotel Atabey in Miches, arriving at 5 pm.
