Stromboli & Panarea Day Trip

Explore the stunning Aeolian Islands on this day excursion to Stromboli and Panarea. Experience the serenity of their quaint fishing villages while witnessing the awe-inspiring eruption of a volcano!

Day Trip Overview

We will gather at the designated meeting point on Via Ammiraglio Luigi Rizzo. From there, a boat will transport us to the island of Panarea.

Sailing through the Tyrrhenian Sea, we will make our way to this island, known as the second smallest in the Aeolian archipelago. As we approach, the stunning landscape features the renowned beach of Cala Junco, which houses the relics of an ancient settlement dating to the 14th century BC.

Once we arrive at the fishing port, you will have 2.5 hours of leisure time to wander and savor the local cuisine. Afterward, we will board the boat again and sail north towards Stromboli, taking in views of the island's majestic volcano and nearby islets such as Basiluzzo, Lisca Bianca, Lisca Nera, and Bottaro.

Upon reaching Stromboli, you will enjoy another 2 hours of free exploration. Meander through the charming seaside streets, visiting its churches and small chapels. If you visit Piazza San Vincenzo, you will find a viewpoint that offers a breathtaking view of Stromboli and the adjacent islet of Strombolicchio.

Our journey will conclude with a boat trip back, during which we will pause for approximately 40 minutes to witness a spectacular natural event: the erupting Stromboli volcano, an incredible scene as dusk falls!

The day will wrap up as we return to Milazzo port after around 10 hours of exploration.

Key Information

In case Stromboli enters a red zone due to a volcanic activity alert and disembarking on the island is prohibited, we will modify the itinerary to prioritize your safety. Instead, we will spend a longer duration on Panarea and then perform a scenic boat tour around Stromboli. During this segment, we will have the chance to appreciate the striking Strombolicchio and the notable Sciara del Fuoco.
