Stromboli & Panarea Day Trip

Visit the archipelago of the Aeolian Islands & two of its most famous islands on this day trip to Stromboli and Panarea. You'll enjoy the tranquility of their fishing villages and witness a magical spectacle of nature: see a volcano erupting!

Day Trip Details

At the appointed time we'll meet on Via Ammiraglio Luigi Rizzo and head to the pier to board a boat to the island of Panarea.

Cruising across the Tyrrhenian Sea, we will reach this island, the second smallest of the Aeolian archipelago. As we approach, you'll see the famous Cala Junco, which contains remains of an ancient settlement from the 14th century BC.

We'll disembark at the fishing port, allowing 2.5 hours of free time to explore and enjoy local gastronomy. Afterwards, we'll return to the boat and head towards Stromboli, admiring views of the island's great volcano and surrounding islets, including Basiluzzo, Lisca Bianca, Lisca Nera and Bottaro.

Upon arrival in Stromboli, you will have 2 hours free to discover the village, visit churches and chapels, and enjoy the viewpoint at Piazza San Vincenzo with views of Stromboli and the nearby islet of Strombolicchio.

Finally, we will return to the boat for a stop of about 40 minutes to witness the active eruption of the Stromboli volcano, a spectacular sight at nightfall.

We'll conclude the day trip with our arrival back at the port of Milazzo after approximately 10 hours of sightseeing.

Important Info

If Stromboli is in a red zone due to a volcanic activity alert and disembarkation is forbidden, we will adjust the day trip for safety, making a longer stop at Panarea and then providing a panoramic tour from the sea around Stromboli, showcasing Strombolicchio and Sciara del Fuoco.
